Field Care

Shoulder Mounts

Make initial cut completely around mid-section behind shoulders.
Make additional cuts around knee joints.
Saw legs off below the knee.
Pull skin up to base of skull.
Saw head off.
Roll-up and freeze. Keep dry and clean.
DO NOT ALLOW HIDE TO GET WET! This could result in hair loss.

Life-Size Mounts or Birds

Do not gut or field-dress except in warm weather.
Wrap in newspaper or towel.
Freeze.
DO NOT ALLOW HIDE TO GET WET! This could result in hair loss.

Fish

Do not gut.
Handle as little as possible.
Wrap in a wet towel.
Place in ice chest or freezer.
